- Tuna & Crust:
- 2 –4 sushi-grade ahi/yellowfin tuna steaks 6–8 oz each, 1–1½ inches thick
- 1 tbsp neutral oil avocado or grapeseed
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds black + white mix = gorgeous
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp coconut sugar or brown sugar
- Optional kick: ½ tsp cayenne or togarashi
- Quick Dipping Sauce:
- ¼ cup soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp honey
- Squeeze lime + pinch chili flakes
- Garnish:
- Sliced scallions extra sesame seeds, wasabi mayo
Pat tuna dry → coat in sesame crust.
Preheat air fryer 400 °F 3 min.
Air fry 6–8 min (6 = rare, 8 = medium-rare).
Rest 3 min → slice thin against grain.
Serve with soy-lime dip.
