Ingredients
  

  • Cake:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ cups mashed ripe bananas about 3 bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • Optional Frosting:
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and bananas.
  • Combine with dry ingredients and buttermilk.
  • Bake until done and cool completely.
  • Frost if desired and serve.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor
Do not overmix the batter
Cool before frosting
Store properly
