Ingredients
  

  • Fish:
  • pounds white fish
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Batter:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup cold beer
  • Frying:
  • Vegetable oil
  • Topping:
  • Lemon wedges
  • Tartar sauce
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Pat fish dry and cut into portions.
  • Season fish with salt and pepper.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and beer into batter.
  • Let batter rest briefly.
  • Heat oil to frying temperature.
  • Dip fish into batter evenly.
  • Fry fish until golden and crispy.
  • Remove and drain excess oil.
  • Check fish is cooked through.
  • Serve hot with toppings.
