Cherry Filling & Syrup:

pitted cherries
fresh or frozen

lemon juice
Optional: 1–2 tbsp kirsch
cherry brandy
Whipped Cream:

heavy whipping cream
cold

powdered sugar

Decoration:
Chocolate shavings or curls
Whole cherries
Instructions
Bake chocolate cake layers and cool.
Simmer cherries and make syrup.
Whip cream to stiff peaks.
Soak, fill, and frost cake.
Decorate, chill, and serve.
Notes
Cool the cake fully before assembling
Syrup adds moisture and flavor
Chill before slicing
