Ingredients
  

  • Beef:
  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Base:
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Seasoning:
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • Gravy:
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • Topping:
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges

Instructions
 

  • Prepare and dry beef cubes.
  • Season beef evenly.
  • Brown beef in batches.
  • Cook onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add spices and cook briefly.
  • Stir in flour to form base.
  • Add broth and tomatoes gradually.
  • Return beef and simmer until tender.
  • Adjust seasoning and thickness.
  • Serve with toppings.
