Easy cherry dump cake with pie filling and buttery cake topping.

- 2 21 oz cans cherry pie filling
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- ¾ cup unsalted butter melted
- Optional Add-Ins:
- ½ tsp almond extract
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- Sliced almonds or chopped pecans
Spread cherry filling in baking dish.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly on top.
Drizzle with melted butter.
Bake until golden and bubbly.
Cool briefly and serve.
- Do not mix layers
- Cover the cake mix fully with butter
- Serve warm for the best texture
