Ingredients
Pie Crust:
2½
cups
all-purpose flour

cup
unsalted butter
cold and cubed

tsp
salt

tbsp
sugar

–8 tbsp ice water
Filling:
4
cups
fresh or frozen cherries
pitted
¾
cup
granulated sugar
2
tbsp
cornstarch

tbsp
lemon juice

tsp
vanilla extract
Topping:
1
egg
1
tbsp
milk
1
tbsp
coarse sugar
Instructions
Prepare and chill pie dough.
Make cherry filling and add to crust.
Top with second crust and brush with egg wash.
Bake until golden and bubbling.
Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Chill the dough for flakiness
Vent top crust
