–14 oz chicken sausage
sliced (Italian-style or garlic herb)

olive oil

small onion
sliced

cloves
garlic
minced

tsp
red pepper flakes
optional

cup
chicken broth
¾
cup
heavy cream
or half-and-half

cup
grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional add-ins: spinach
cherry tomatoes, bell peppers
Optional garnish: fresh basil or parsley
Instructions
Cook pasta and reserve water.
Brown sausage and sauté aromatics.
Simmer broth and cream.
Toss with pasta, sausage, and cheese.
Season and serve.
Notes
Brown the sausage well
Keep the cream heat low
Use pasta water for sauce
Great with added veggies
