Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups pre-cooked white cornmeal masarepa
  • cups warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil optional, for richness

Instructions
 

  • Mix cornmeal, salt, and water to form dough.
  • Rest dough briefly.
  • Shape into discs.
  • Cook in skillet until golden on both sides.
  • Serve hot with toppings or fillings.

Notes

  • Use masarepa, not regular cornmeal
  • Rest the dough before shaping
  • Medium heat works best
  • Reheat in a skillet for crisp edges
