buttermilk

cornmeal

all-purpose flour

black pepper

Vegetable or peanut oil
for frying
Instructions
Slice and soak okra in buttermilk.
Toss in seasoned cornmeal mixture.
Fry in hot oil until golden.
Drain and season.
Serve immediately.
