Ingredients
  

  • Dough:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or lard
  • ¾ cup warm water

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Add oil and warm water to form a soft dough.
  • Knead dough until smooth and divide into balls.
  • Let dough rest before rolling thin circles.
  • Cook tortillas in a hot skillet until lightly browned.

Notes

Resting the dough makes tortillas easier to roll
Cook on medium-high heat for the best texture
Keep tortillas covered to stay soft
Freeze extra tortillas for later use
