Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup warm milk 110°F / 43°C
  • tsp active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 3 –3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Egg Wash optional:
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • Optional topping: sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Activate yeast in warm milk and sugar.
  • Mix in egg, butter, flour, and salt.
  • Knead until smooth and elastic.
  • Rise, shape, and rise again.
  • Bake until golden.

Notes

  • Dough should be soft, not dry
  • Allow full rise for fluffiness
  • Cool before slicing
  • Freeze well for later use
