Best Jello Shots
Wobbly, flavorful jello shots with perfect set and customizable booze — easy, make-ahead party favorite.
Ingredients
- Classic Base: one flavor
- 1 box 6 oz / 170 g flavored gelatin (Jell-O — cherry, lime, orange, etc.)
- 1 cup 240 ml boiling water
- 1 cup 240 ml cold vodka (or rum, tequila — chilled)
- Optional: 2–4 tbsp sweetened condensed milk for creamy version
- Multi-Flavor Batch Ideas:
- Rainbow: multiple boxes in different colors
- Margarita: lime Jell-O + tequila + triple sec ½ cup each
- Blue Hawaiian: berry blue + coconut rum
- Watermelon: watermelon Jell-O + vodka + splash lime
- For Unmolding:
- Non-stick cooking spray
- 2- oz plastic shot cups with lids or silicone molds
- Garnish:
- Whipped cream
- Lime wedges
- Sprinkles or colored sugar rims
- Fresh fruit slices
Instructions
- Dissolve gelatin in boiling water 2 min.
- Stir in cold alcohol.
- Pour into lightly sprayed cups.
- Chill 4+ hrs (overnight best).
- Garnish → serve cold.
Notes
- Cold alcohol = max potency
- 4 hr minimum chill = firm set
- Keeps 1 week in fridge with lids
- Layered colors = showstopper
