Best Naan Recipe

Soft and fluffy homemade naan cooked on a skillet with a tender interior and golden exterior.

Ingredients
  

  • Dough:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • tsp active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Optional Topping:
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions
 

  • Activate yeast in warm water and sugar.
  • Mix flour, salt, yogurt, and oil to form dough.
  • Knead and let dough rise until doubled.
  • Divide and roll into flat shapes.
  • Cook in a hot skillet until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Use a hot skillet for the best bubbles
Do not skip the rise time
Brush with butter for flavor
Serve warm for the best texture
