Best Oven Baked Fish
Tender, flaky oven baked fish with lemon and simple seasoning.

Total Time 20 minutes mins
- 1½ –2 lb fish fillets cod, tilapia, haddock, halibut, or snapper
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Optional garnish: lemon slices fresh parsley or dill
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Season fish and place in baking dish.
Bake until opaque and flaky.
Optional broil for color.
Rest briefly and serve.
- Adjust cook time by thickness
- Dry fish before seasoning
- Don’t overbake
- Serve immediately
