- 8 –10 fresh jalapeños sliced into rings
- 1 cup white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1½ tsp kosher salt
- 2 cloves garlic lightly crushed (optional)
- Optional aromatics: peppercorns oregano, bay leaf
Slice jalapeños evenly.
Boil vinegar, water, sugar, and salt.
Add jalapeños and rest briefly.
Transfer to jar and chill before using.
