Best Pumpkin Sugar Cookies
Soft and tender sugar cookies made with pumpkin and warm spices.
Ingredients
- Cookie Dough:
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup pumpkin purée
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional Topping:
- ½ cup powdered sugar for dusting
- Simple glaze or frosting
Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar, then add pumpkin, egg, and vanilla.
- Combine with dry ingredients to form dough.
- Scoop onto baking sheet and bake.
