Ingredients
  

  • Cupcakes:
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • Topping Cream Cheese Frosting:
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry and wet ingredients separately, then combine.
  • Fill liners and bake until done.
  • Cool completely and prepare frosting.
  • Frost cupcakes and serve.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter
Cool before frosting
Use room temperature ingredients
Store properly
