Soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls made with sourdough starter and a sweet cinnamon filling.

Ingredients
  

  • Dough:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup active sourdough starter
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Filling:
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Mix and knead dough, then let rise until doubled.
  • Roll out dough, add filling, and shape into rolls.
  • Let rise again until puffy.
  • Bake until golden and glaze before serving.

Notes

Use an active starter for the best results
Allow enough rise time
Do not overbake
Serve warm for the best texture
