Best Yellow Cake Recipe
Classic yellow cake with a tender crumb and rich vanilla-butter flavor.
Ingredients
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1¾ cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs room temperature
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk room temperature
Instructions
- Prepare pans and preheat oven.
- Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate dry ingredients and buttermilk.
- Bake until set and cool completely.
- Frost and serve.
