Best Yellow Rice

Perfect golden, fragrant rice — saffron or turmeric, never mushy, better than takeout.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 1 onion · 3 garlic · 2 tbsp oil
  • cups broth
  • Saffron OR 1 tsp turmeric + ½ tsp annatto
  • Cumin · oregano · bay leaf

Instructions
 

  • Sauté onion + garlic → toast rice.
  • Add spices + broth → boil → low simmer covered 15 min.
  • Rest covered 10 min off heat.
  • Fluff → serve with cilantro + lime.
